I’ve heard several married christian women say “I don’t want any more children” and I’ve often by shocked to hear this statement come out of the mouth of a Christian.
What if when God told Eve “Be fruitful and multiply(Genesis 1:28)” Eve talked back to God and said, “No God. I don’t want any children”. Do you think Eve could ever bring her mouth to make such a blasphemous and evil statement in response to the commandment from God? Do you think that your body is your own? Did you create yourself? What if your mother said the same thing before you were born? In saying this, do you realize that you wish your own life away? Should your mother’s emotional desire to not have children be greater than the life you now have, and the eternal life you stand to inherit in Jesus Christ? Should GOD have fewer children with him in Heaven and eternity just to satisfy your own desires?
But what if GOD granted Eve’s request and closed her womb, what would have happened to all of creation? Would you be alive today? Would you be able to receive eternal life and live forever and ever? Is a human desire greater than the eternal plan of God? How could we have so much audacity to say such things?
Genesis 1:28
God blessed them, then God said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it…”
Do you talk back to God? Did you create your own womb? Did you create your own life? Should GOD’s will not be done through His own creation?
Should the creation say to the Creator “I know you created me with purpose and gave me life and breath, but I don’t want to fulfill your purpose. I just want to use this free life you have given me for my own desires and purposes”
Christian family, how have we hardened our hearts this much toward the one that created our hearts? Do we not fear GOD? Isn’t GOD able to give us life and take away our life? Do we not fear Him? We dare tell the one who created us “God, do your plan with someone else. I don’t want it”. How merciful is God that we can say such things and God allows us to continue breathing.
Remember what the Bible says
Ephesians 6:2-3
“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
Do you realize that when you dishonor your parents — When you dishonor the vessel through which your life was formed why should your life be long? If you don’t respect the one who helped create your life why should you keep that life?
We must understand that it is not that God doesn’t hear us and see us that we continue to live when we say such things, but it is GOD’s great mercy toward us that we continue to live despite having such a rebellious heart toward God — the ONE who formed us.
God is sovereign. He hears everything and he sees everything!
Psalm 94:8-9
“Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise? 9 He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?”
Jesus says we will be judged for every idle word we speak(Matthew 12:36)
Do you think having children is only about YOU and Your body(a body you didn’t create)? Do you not realize how privileged you are that you are being used by GOD to bring GODS children to the earth so that they can be saved by Jesus Christ and so GOD can spend eternity with his children? Do you attempt to deny the GOD who gives you eternal life the ability to give eternal life to more people because YOU talk back to GOD and say “No GOD. No more children from me. Use someone else”. Should the person who says this have eternal life or should they perish? What would be just?
Luke 13:5
“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
The Bible says it is GOD can open the womb and close the womb if he chooses.
Genesis 29:31
“When the LORD saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.”
1 Samuel 1:6
“And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb.”
Remember in the Bible a man was struck dead because he ejaculated his semen on the ground because he didn’t want to create a child… Because he rejected the purpose of GOD to protect his own desires.
Genesis 38:9-10
“But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother’s wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother. 10 And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; therefore He killed him also.”
For the women that say “Yeah but I don’t want to damage my body, and I don’t want to experience the pain of childbirth again”
What if Jesus said he didn’t want to experience the pain of being on the cross? What if Jesus didn’t want his body to be changed from a Godly form to a human form? If Jesus spoke like us we would all be dead today.
Philippians 2:7
“but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.”
So who are you following? Who is your Lord?
I’m not speaking to the women of the world with this post, I am only speaking to Christian women who understand the things of God. Christian women belong to GOD and are in GOD’s direct care, but the other women of this world are still potentially subject to the enemy.
For those that say “I am afraid I will not survive if I give birth to a child?”
If a person dies do they go on to be with GOD? Don’t they go to a better place with a greater inheritance? Don’t they go to a place greater than this world? How much should we love this world?
Revelation 12:11
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
But more than this…
The Bible says that not even a single sparrow can die without GOD allowing it to happen. Do you know that you are greater than a sparrow?
Matthew 10:29-31
“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
No person can die without GOD. So why do you fear for your lives? And if GOD chooses to take someone’s life who can stop it? Perhaps they don’t die during childbirth because they run from this purpose but then they die another way a day later. Can we stop the purpose of God?
Women have the free will to remain unmarried, but for those who are in a covenant marriage or soon-to-be married, there is a responsibility to never attempt to thwart the purpose of GOD. If GOD chooses to close your womb for his own purpose he can. He has opened and closed many wombs. However, for those who accept the serpent’s birth control pills or use the devil’s latex condoms, this is evil. If GOD chooses to keep you from giving birth HE can, He doesn’t need your help. Birth control is witchcraft. Birth control even causes abortions to happen within the womb when the child is only 1 or 2 days in the womb. This is murder and against GOD and those on birth control must stop it and repent. Those who have taken birth control in the past and have stopped must understand that it’s possible several children that were 1 day old or 3 days old were killed in their womb and they still must repent for this.
In Closing:
What if when GOD told Sarah she would give birth to a child at her late age Sarah said “No God. I don’t want to have a child.” Where would the world be today? What if the wives of Jacob who gave birth to the 12 tribes of Israel said “I don’t want any more children?” Where would the world be today? What if Mary the mother of Jesus told the Angel Gabriel when he told her that although she was a virgin she would give birth to a child.. What if Mary said “No GOD. I don’t want to have a child as a virgin.” Can you imagine this? These women would not have dared to say such a thing, so why do you say it?
Remember when you desire to close your womb, more than only your womb can close. This can close your heart, and your mind, and even darken your soul. It’s all connected. When one part closes other parts can close too. Therefore be careful what you say out of your mouth. Our words are like seeds going into the soil. If you took one seed and said “I will plant this lemon seed because I only want one lemon..” You will get many lemons, not only one. Therefore when you give the seed of your words by saying “I don’t want this or that” you may shut off many things.
Matthew 19:14
“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
And just in case it is not clear, this article is ONLY talking to Christian women who are legally married to men. Any type of deep intimacy happening between people who are not married is called “Fornication” and it is a sin that comes at a heavy price. God will judge the adulters and the fornicators(Hebrews 13:4). Nevertheless that is all for today.
