As I was online recenty I came across a video of a woman sharing her testimony about how she followed this method given by comedian and mogul Steve Harvey telling people to get a paper and write down 100 things you want God to do for you and then see what happens. The woman claimed to have written on the paper that she wanted to be on a popular television show or movie and began share her testimony about how shortly after making the list, this very thing came true. She encourages her viewers to make list of there own so that they could manifest their reality and reap the very same benefits she was expiriencing.
This video in partiuclar stuck out to me because I once did this very same thing. I once in a desire to manifest my own reality. Itook a notebook, and filled it from front to back when different ideas I had and things I wanted to accomplish. I then would read the book outloud each day and declare these things to be so. I did this myself and within a year major changes were already happening in my life. I became successful and the smaller things I was working on became bigger things, before I knew it I was traveling and expiriencing some of the things from the very list that I had written down.
Being that I had this expirience I felt compelled to share in the comment section with the women in the video what I came to understand about “manifesting your own reality” after God called me out of that life into His mercy so I didn’t perish along with the so called manifesting I had done. Here below is what I shared with her in the comments:
“The Bible calls the devil the god of this world(2 Corinthians 4:4). I did this exact same thing some years ago. It worked. I made the amount of money I wrote down, the type of homes I wanted to stay in, and more. Within a year and a half of my list and reading it out loud each day I was making 10 times the money I had before and traveling and living overseas and living my version of a luxury lifestyle. And day by day, month by month, year by year it was all coming true. “Life was good”. And in the midst of all the pleasure and happiness I was expiriencing a question came to my heart “Am I really living my correctly?” “Am I living for God or am I living for myself?”.. As I truly began to seek God I learned that the things I had gained could have came from the god of this world, and not the Most High Only True God, the God and Father of The Lord Jesus Christ. In Luke Chapter 4 verses 5-7 the devils tempting Jesus says “All the kingdoms of this world are mine and I give them to whoever I wish”. Upon God making this known to me, I took that list that I made and I burned it in a fire and I prayed “God I don’t want this list anymore. I don’t want my own will for my life. I want your will for my life.”
2 Days later I was on my bedroom floor vomitting with demons coming out of my body. I vomitted on the ground for about an hour and a half, and when I got up from that floor I was born again a new creation in Jesus Christ, no longer with a heart to seek my own glory and do my own will but to do the will of God.
The devil can give you riches, and glory, and comvince you that it’s from God, so long as he can use you for his own will. Jesus says “Not as I will but as you will” but the devil says “do what thou wilt”. When you make that list what you are doing is manifesting your own will. It works, it’s real, and it may all come true, but that doesn’t mean you won’t perish in the end.
The bible says he who continues in sin is a child of the devil, and not a child of God (1 John 3:4-10), and so if anyone is living in fornication(premartial affairs), smoking, living in drunkenness or even acting these things in a film, they are practing sin and not the children of God.
God has rules for His house, and anyone not following the rules of His house can not claim to be a member of His house. Manifesting your own reality is possible, but it’s witchcraft and not of God. God says sacrifice your will and what you think you want and do His will. And not make a list and I’ll make all your dreams come true.
I know because I did it, it worked, but then God opened my eyes and set me free.”
