The Power Of The Blood Of Jesus

The Power Of The Blood Of Jesus

All throughout the world since the beginning of mankind, humans have understood the spiritual significance of blood. The majority of religious groups throughout the world have all engaged in some form of animal sacrifice. Israelite was commanded to make sacrifices for atonement for their souls because the Bible states that the wages of sin is death(Romans 6:23) and where there is sin, something must die in the place of the sinner.

Leviticus 17:11
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’”

The Bible also teaches that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins because everything must be cleansed with blood.

Hebrews 9:22
“And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.”

And although the Bible has explained the proper usage of blood in the. Old Testament, many other religious groups used blood at that time for their own purposes. Even today many religious groups still engage in the practice of shedding blood. Witches that practice black magic and voodoo ritually sacrifice goats, chickens, cats, etc, and offer the blood to evil spirits in exchange for some service from the evil spirit. The Bible commands humans to never eat blood because the Bible says LIFE is in the blood of a creature, and we are not to consume another animal’s LIFE. We drain the blood and only consume the meat.

Deuteronomy 12:23
“Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat.”

However because LIFE is in blood and evil spirits are DEAD, blood acts as a form of currency in the spiritual realm. Therefore dead evil spirits receive “life” by a human making an animal sacrifice, and in exchange for this payment of blood, they perform a service for the human.

Practitioners of witchcraft offer blood and other religious groups engage in this practice of offering blood also. Muslims offer an animal sacrifice once a year and offer blood to their god Allah in an event that’s called “Qurbani” in which they make an animal sacrifice once a year of a goat, sheep, cow or camel because of who they call “Ibrahim”.

Hindus have various different sacrifices in which they offer blood to the gods that they serve. One practice in particular that’s even done in Bali is called The Resi Gana, or ‘Bhuta Yadnya’ in which a specific dog is sacrificed to “preserve the harmony between nature and humans”

Even in Israel now the Jews are rebuilding the Third Temple in which they will begin making animal sacrifices of “The Red Heifer” as they prepare for the coming of the messiah they are waiting on.

However, do you know who is which religion never has and never will partake in any animal sacrifices? Christians. And do you know why? Because Jesus was our sacrifice once and for all. Jesus is called the Lamb of GOD and the Bible says that GOD provided the sacrifice as Abraham told Issac that GOD would do(Kejadian 22:8). GOD sent his only begotten son into the earth as an offering to make atonement for the sins of the whole world.

Hebrews 9:28
“so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many…”

Hebrews 10:10
“By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

Christians don’t make sacrifices because Jesus was the final sacrifice. He paid all the debt, he finished the work so that humans would never need to shed blood again to make atonement. Jesus atoned for us so that we can be Holy and clean and now through Jesus we can now approach the throne of GOD.

Our GOD did not require us to make any more sacrifices. Our GOD made the sacrifices for us. Humans once killed their own animals to save themselves, but our GOD sent his own son to be killed to save us. Do you see the difference?

And Jesus didn’t only die for us, but he also resurrected from the dead so that he stands as a living sacrifice for us for all eternity. We don’t need any more sacrifices but the sacrifice made for us is STILL LIVING. He has RISEN. He gave his life on the cross two thousand years ago and was resurrected from the dead 3 days later and now he meditates between us and GOD.

1 Timothy 2:5
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,”

Jesus paid our debt in his own blood and he is the LIVING testimony of this finished work. A sacrifice has to be spotless and without blemish(sinless), and therefore Jesus was born of a virgin so that he did not inherit the sins of human men that humans inherit from their earthy Fathers. The Bible says the life of any creature is in their blood, and if Jesus is the SON of GOD that came down from heaven in his blood was eternal life, that eternally paid for the sins of the whole world forevermore. So all those who put their faith in Jesus and believe in his death, burial, and resurrection will receive this payment for their sins and be saved.

The wages of sin is death, so the dead must go with the dead. Therefore when a human commits sin they are separated from GOD who is the source of LIFE. And are now the human is spiritually dead(Luke 9:60). Therefore when that person dies who will they be with? The living that is in heaven or the dead that is in hell? Unless their sins are paid for they are the walking dead, physically still breathing but spiritually dead and separate from GOD who is the source of all life. However, Jesus paid the debt of death for us so that we could be reconciled back to GOD and have life.

There is nothing else needed, Jesus has already finished the work. Anyone still making sacrifices is testifying that the work is not finished, they still are trying to gain something through shedding blood, because they don’t know that GOD loved you so much that he shed the blood of his own SON for you, so that you could be saved. No more blood is needed. As Jesus said in John 19:30: “It is finished”

John 19:30
“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

The work is already finished. Put your faith in Jesus so that you can be saved. The Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that GOD raised him from the dead you shall be saved(Romans 10:9-13). The wages of sin is death and Jesus died in your place.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Every Other World Religion Is A Lie

Some people are of the belief that all religions are different pathways to the same destination. Some people will say “ I respect all religions because they are all different ways to GOD”. Now course as Christians we don’t believe this because Jesus clearly says:

John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Jesus makes it clear that HE and ONLY HE is the way to GOD, and that every other religion is false. And that every other purported way to GOD is a lie, but Jesus and HE alone can get you to GOD.

However, I always found it interesting that although Jesus makes it clear that HE and only HE is the correct way, every other religion seeks to incorporate something about Jesus into their religion.

If you ask a Muslim they will tell you that Jesus is “Isa” in the Quran and that he was one of the Prophets of GOD. If you ask a Hindu they will tell you that Jesus was a Sadhu and that he was one of the enlightened people who spread a message of love. If you ask a Buddhist they will tell you that Jesus was one of the ascended masters. Everyone seems to think of Jesus as a “Good guy” but at the same time they deny who Jesus said that he IS. Is Jesus a Prophet and also a liar when he said that HE is the Son of GOD? Was Jesus a Sadhu or a liar when he said that He is the ONLY Way to GOD? Was Jesus just an Ascended Master but also a liar when he said “Before Abraham Existed I did”? Which is it?

What all other religions who agree with a portion of the teaching of Jesus will not tell you is that Jesus spoke against them all. And Jesus called all the earth to repent from their religions, and traditions, and turn to him, because Only HE(Jesus) could get you to GOD. Every other path and every other way is a trick from the devil and not a path that will ever get you to GOD.

Acts 17:30
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent”

Faith in Jesus Christ and the teachings of Jesus Christ can not be compared to any other religion out there. The teachings of Jesus are distinct from those taught by every other group.

Here is another example:

Every other religion believes that you will get a good afterlife or go to Heaven if your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds. Ask a Muslim how to get to paradise they will tell you that you must keep from doing evil and do good deeds and Allah will judge your good and bad deeds. Ask a Hindu how to achieve salvation and they will tell you “There is one of three ways: the way of works, the way of knowledge, or the way of devotion.” And they will also say you get to heaven by Good deeds and chanting the name of God. Ask a Buddhist and they will tell you that you ascend by doing good deeds and practicing Buddhism then you will ascend stage by stage. Ask a person in Judaism how to get to Heaven and they will tell you that you must keep God’s 613 Laws in the Torah.

All these religions teach that it is by your own works and efforts that you will enter into Heaven. But what does the Bible say? How do Christians get to Heaven?

Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

The Bible says that salvation is a free gift from GOD for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift for those who put their faith in the work Jesus did on the cross when He died for the sins of the whole world. We are not saved by our OWN works, we are saved by the work that Jesus did for us. No other religion teaches a free gift of salvation by a Loving and merciful God. Every other religion teaches that a man must try his hardest and hope in the end that his good deeds are more than his bad deeds.

In Closing:
Let me ask you this… Let’s say hypnotically there was a man who robbed a bank, and then he took all the money from robbing the bank and used it to buy food and clothing for widows and orphans. Does his good deed outweigh his bad deed? When he stands before the judge and the judge asks him “How do you plead guilty or not guilty?” Can he say “Not guilty” because of his good deed? Or must he still face judgment for the crime he committed despite the good deed he did afterward?

There is no good deed that washes away bad deeds. A man’s good deeds maybe be good, but doesn’t he still have to face punishment for his bad deeds? Who’s going to pay for the wrong that he has done? Either he must pay for his crime or someone must stand in his place and accept his punishment.
This is where faith in Jesus becomes important, because when a judge asks a Christian “How do you plead? Guilty or not guilty?” The Christian is going to say “I plead the blood of Jesus because Jesus has already taken the punishment that I deserve.” And then the Judge must let you go free because your sin has already been paid for.

The Bible says “The Wages of Sin is Death”

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Therefore if you’ve committed at least one sin in your life then you must pay for it with your own blood. Your life is the price of your sin. However, Jesus came down to earth and paid for our sins with HIS Eternal Life so that all who believe in him will not perish but be saved.

This is why the Gospel of Jesus Christ is so important. Those who reject the payment that Jesus paid for their sins will have to face death and pay for it themselves. Repent today and put your faith in Jesus. There is no other way.

God bless you all who are in Christ Jesus.

Before I Was A Christian…

Before I was a born-again Christian I was just a casual Christian. I was Christian because my family was Christian and Christianity was a part of my upbringing and culture. I grew up going to church, singing songs, and saying my prayers when I woke up in the morning and before I went to sleep. I was baptized in water as a teenager, had read some of the Bible, and thought I had a good understanding of what Christianity was all about. I was just like most Christians that I had met in my life, Sunday Christians, Christians by association, Christians because my ID Card says I’m Christian, Culturally Christian, never studied the whole Bible but only memorized my favorite Psalm Christian, etc. I thought I was a Christian but I didn’t know what it meant to be a Christian until later in my life.

When I became an adult and left home I stopped going to church, I prayed sometimes but not as frequently and I just started focusing on being a good person. I thought a good Christian was someone who was a “good person” However I didn’t learn until later that the Bible says

Romans 3:11-12
“There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

There are no “Good persons” by GOD’s standard. A good person is only a good person by his own standard, he has become his own judge, he has become his own GOD and he has decided that he has the authority to determine what is good and what is bad. The Man who thinks he’s a good person is usually the worst person out of all because he’s blinded to his own sin. The Person who knows they are not good is more likely to seek for help and in seeking help they might find GOD.

Here is one example: Let’s say there are two men who are alcoholics: One man says “I’m not an alcoholic, I just enjoy drinking. I can stop drinking anytime I want, I only drink because I choose to. And the other man says “I am an alcoholic and I have a problem. I need help.” Which one of the two men is more likely to live, and which of the two is more likely to die? The man that knows he has a problem will live of course, but the man blinded to his own addiction will die if he doesn’t become like the other man.

This is what people who think they are good people are like. This is the way that I was the majority of my life. I was kind to others, I supported my family, I was generous to those in need, I carried myself with respect, I prayed, and stayed away from trouble, and focused on my goals. People looked up to me and most people that knew me would also call me a good person. By the standards of the “world” I was a good person, but I cut deeply in my heart the day I discovered that the standard of GOD was not the same as the standard of this world.

The Bible says what is highly esteemed among mankind is an abomination to GOD(Luke 16:15). God does not love the things the world loves and does not approve of the things the world approves of. So although the world approved of me, in the eyes of GOD I was filthy and deserving of death. I learned that a Christian isn’t a person who goes to church on Sunday but still has their own goals, hopes, and ambitions. A Christian is someone who has surrendered everything in them to GOD and decided to deny themselves and follow Jesus.

When I was a false Christian I had a journal that I would travel with that contained all my goals and ambitions, and everything I wanted to accomplish in life. The journal was filled with my life plans and each month I was accomplishing more things that were written in the journal. However, the day I became a Christian was the day I took that journal and set it on fire and looked up to the sky, and said “GOD.. I don’t want this journal anymore, I don’t want my own goals and ambitions. I don’t want my own life plan. I want your plan for my life. Let your will be done in my life. I surrender my own will to do your will GOD” From that day on my entire life changed.

Luke 14:33
“So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

When Jesus called his disciples he told them “Follow me” and they left everything behind and followed Jesus. This standard has not changed. It doesn’t mean Jesus will physically require you to give away all you have, but it does mean that from your heart you must renounce all you have and put it in his hands. You must be willing to give it all up if he asks for it, from a heart that is completely surrendered to the will of GOD.

A Christian isn’t a person who has their own culture and traditions, and Christians have made all their cultures and traditions the traditions of Jesus only. A Christian has surrendered it all; their tribe, their culture, their possessions, their desires, their goals, their bodies, and everything else. They have renounced everything from their heart and chosen to follow Jesus. A Christian no longer identifies with titles and identities that come from this world, they only identify with the title and identity of Christ. We cannot mix the things of this world with Jesus. Jesus said we can only serve one master (Matthew 6:24).

A Christian is not someone who is defined by his own good deeds. The Bible says that our righteous deeds are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). A Christian is a person who knows that he is a sinner in need of a Savior. Christians understand that the wages of sin is death and that if they sin only once, they deserve to go to hellfire like the greatest sinner on earth. A Christian understands that Jesus died to pay the death price they deserved for sin, so that they could be saved. A Christian inherits the righteousness of Jesus because our own actions have fallen short of the glory of GOD. A Christian is now a righteous person because of faith in Jesus Christ and him alone.

God bless you all who are in Christ Jesus.
